This Week, Kevin Oklobzija from the Rochester Business Journal, joins host Bill Pucko and regular panelists Mike Catalana (13 WHAM Sports) and Pat Duffy (WCMF Breakroom). Kevin was last on the show on October 21. He may be our most frequent guest, if not our most frequently entertaining.
We begin the show in Kevin’s wheelhouse. Economics. Scratch that – Hockey. The Sabres at the time our our taping, we’re riding a 10 game win streak. The NHL stood in Buffalo’s shadow.
Next up, the discussion turns to Buffalo’s other “hot team” – they won 2 in a row! – the Bills. Optimism abound, as the Bills head to Miami as 5 point underdogs. As Bill points out, at this point in the season, the Bills have been the underdog every week. If they keep that up all year, that might be a record. Place your bets…
The standings for the NFL picks contest – which is heating up.
Like it or Not begins with the Washington football team signing Reuben Foster. Foster was cut by the 49ers – with good reason. Domestic violence. The Skins signed him. I can’t think of a good reason for that. Neither can our panel.
Next in the Like it or Not department, the Cleveland Browns. Pat is a big Baker Mayfield fan. Mike is not, but we won’t fully know the details of that just yet. That’s an internet tease. This will all make sense if you watch the clip below.
Kevin is talking financial advice for home owners in the current climate… oh wait, no… he’s talking hockey again. Jack Eichel, in fact. Kevin sees Eichel as making that leap to being a leader for the Sabres, and deserving of the Captain’s ‘C’ on his sweater.
That’s the show for this week. Thanks to Kevin for being with us, and we promise we won’t share any of those hot stock tips with anyone.
