NASCAR ran its second race after being back on Wednesday night, an event shortened by 20 laps because of rain. Denny Hamlin took the checkers there, but the big story was Kyle Busch spinning Chase Elliott from 2nd..to 38th. It should be known that Elliott was not pleased, and Rowdy fully expects payback at some point. Tonight, NASCAR endures its longest night, 600 miles at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Here’s what to look for:
Well here’s an epic “driver handling his own gear” moment. I won the pole wearing last year’s fire suit. 🤣🤦♂️ pic.twitter.com/JxS2HaKckW

-Kurt Busch was fastest on Sunday afternoon, so he’ll fire off from 1st when the green falls later tonight. And while he’s got a hot shoe and a speedy car, Kurt still has some other things he needs to get in order..like which fire suit to wear!
.@JimmieJohnson’s front-row start marks his fourth front-row start in the 600-mile races over the years @CLTMotorSpdwy and his second front-row start of the 2020 season! 🔥 pic.twitter.com/DaYEl7dHpY

-Jimmie Johnson looked to have the Pole all locked up, but lost it late in the session. Johnson owned this place for years, but hasn’t had the same results recently. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still very good here, just not “automatic” like before. He does have an awesome looking ride tonight though, so he’s got that going for him.

-Martin Truex Jr has three Charlotte oval (not ROVAL; they’ve separated the Fall race from this one) Wins in his last six attempts, two of which are Coca-Cola 600 victories. He’d have another in that same span but ran runner-up in 2018. Today the #19 starts 8th.
You can watch @KevinHarvick‘s live in-car camera on @YouTube tonight presented by @goodyear!

-Kevin Harvick has eight Top 10s in the last ten attempts here, and five of those are Top 3 finishes! He carries an 11.5 average finish here, worsened by a 40th place finished in the 2018 Coca-Cola 600. Happy has been pretty stout since NASCAR’s return. What does he have in store for us today?
Honored to carry Naval Helicopter Aircrewman 1st Class Jonathan Clement’s name on our @mmschocolate Camry tonight. 🇺🇸 #NASCARSalutes

-Kyle Busch will be the last guy on our radar, but the top target on Chase Elliott’s. Rowdy finished 3rd last year, and won the 2018 race. Does he have enough to stay out of the way of Elliott tonight? Kyle will roll off 11th; Chase will start 3rd.
We’ve been taking a tour around the U.S. with delicious regional foods. Today, we’re going with something not relevant to the map, but to the calendar!

Tonight we’re having good ‘ol burgers! A wonderful spread all around; got some potato salad in here, corn, honeydew, too. My burger features a fried egg, pepperoni, and bacon — surprise!
