Cuse vs Georgetown Preview

Andrew Godnick of Nunesmagician.com posted a preview of this weekend’s Syracuse vs Georgetown matchup, here are the highlights:

  • This is the 93rd meeting of the former Big East rivals – Cuse holds the edge with 49 wins to the Hoyas 43
  • Tyus Battle enters the game averaging 20.7 Pts/g, but questions remain about his health after an injury vs Toledo, and a week layoff
  • The 8 – 0 Hoyas are led by 6’10” Junior Jessie Govan, who is averaging 20.6 a game with 13 rebounds – but could be in for a tough matchup with the Cuse bigs
  • Is Junior Frank Howard ready for the big-time games?  After struggling against better opponents the last two seasons, the Orange need Howard to remain a steady force at the point

As always, the NunesMagician remains a top source for Syracuse fans, and is worth a read
