2024 NASCAR Preview: Week 10 – Talladega

After weeks of short tracks, we’ve got 2.66 miles around ‘Dega!

High banks and high speeds await! Talladega and the ever-looming Big One are at large today.

Here’s what to look for:

Michael McDowell got his first career Pole earlier this year, and bingo bango, here’s his 2nd! Good news for him, too, he exhibits a wonderful prowess on superspeedways like Daytona and Talladega. All he’s gotta do is finish where he’s starting for a Win!

Kyle Busch managed to win this race last Spring, he hasn’t been quite “Kyle Busch” with his new team, but a Win is a Win!

Ryan Blaney was the victor the last time we were here, taking the checkers last Fall. He’s also got the most points of any driver here over the last ten races, three total Wins, and an 8.2 average finish!

Chase Elliott got off the schneid last week, and he probably feels good about coming here today as he’s got the second most points of any driver (behind Blaney) over the last ten Talladega races.

-Two starts, two Top 10 finishes for John Hunter Nemechek. Talladega has a way of making room for underappreciated drivers to shine through, and this is one of his best shots of the year to get ‘er done.

Coverage of the race starts on FOX at 3:00pm, green flag scheduled for 3:20pm.
