Another short track is upon us, and this time: The Paperclip at Martinsville!
Here’s what to look for:
–Kyle Larson is starting out front on a track that is very hard to pass. And what’s more…he won last year’s race!
–Ryan Blaney is our most recent winner, taking the checkers in the Fall, and he’s also got more Martinsville points than any other driver over the last ten races. He’ll have a solid starting position today, too, rolling off 9th.
–Denny Hamlin was our winner last week at Richmond, and Martinsville is another Virginia track where he can really lay it down. #11 has an 11.1 average finish over the last ten races.
–Joey Logano came alive last week, and he’s gotta be lickin’ his chops for this one, too. His 6.5 average finish over the last ten races ranks very well against the rest of the field.
–Chase Briscoe might seem like he’s out of his element in this group, but he’s had a bunch of really good runs lately. He hasn’t started worse than 5th (3rd, 4th, 3rd in his last three races, 5th today), and his 2023 finishes here were 5th and 4th. He’ll be one to watch today!
Coverage of the race starts on FS1 at 3:00pm, green flag scheduled for 3:11pm.
