With just two races to go in the regular season, NASCAR has made their way to New York and our home track. We had a road course last week, and next week is Daytona. Only two opportunities left to break in and those knuckles are going to be extra-white for those on the bubble and the next seven days. I’m going to be white-knuckled over the next two hours because we’re going to the race and supposed to be leaving so this’ll be a quick-quick one!
Here’s what to look for:
–Denny Hamlin is not your typical road course racer, but he’s managed to secure another Pole.
–Kyle Larson has won BOTH of the last two Glen races..
–Chase Elliott is still the most prolific road course driver on the circuit and pretty much NEEDS to win today.
–AJ Allmendinger is always someone who is a threat to win at the road course, he’ll start 6th.
–Michael McDowell won last week, can he go back-to-back as Chris Buescher (also looking forward to this race) did a few weeks ago?
Coverage of the race starts on USA at 3:00pm, and green flag scheduled for 3:20pm.
