As the rain falls on us in Rochester (a great day to catch a full race inside), the people watching the race live will get to come back on Monday as they, too, have rain! We had a weather-shortened event in Atlanta, and we’ve got a naturally short race on deck. Let’s get it all in…tomorrow!
Here’s what to look for:
–Christopher Bell was the fastest in Group B (6th overall), and showed exactly what he had under the hood when both groups went together. He won this race last year, and he’s looking pretty good for the Win this time, too!
–Martin Truex Jr. narrowly missed the Pole and will settle for outside Bell. Truex is yet to capture the flag at New Hampshire, but he’s got the most points of any driver over the last ten races.
–Denny Hamlin is next on this list, second most points in the last ten races, and the best average finish of any active driver (9.5). 29 races, 3 Wins, 18 Top 10s, and chances are he’ll finish in the Top 10 again.
-Last race for Kevin Harvick here, one of the best ever at New Hammy. Four total Wins, three of them in the last ten races. Can Harvick make is New Happy? (That’s his nickname: Happy!)
–Brad Keselowski is also averaging better than 10th (9.7) over the last ten races. Wanna guess where’s he’s starting? 9th!
Coverage of the race starts on USA at 12:00pm on Monday, green flag somewhere shortly after!
