2023 NASCAR Preview: Week 17 – Nashville

NASCAR in Nashville, under the lights!

NASCAR is back after a week off for Father’s Day, a Sunday night tilt in Nashville. Are you ready? I am!

Here’s what to look for:

Ross Chastain will be our Polesitter tonight, turning some pretty hot laps out there. He likes this place, too, at least that’s what the stats suggest. In just two races here, he’s got a pair of Top 5s. Pretty good!

-Last year’s winner was Chase Elliott, he’ll be starting 14th today. He still needs a Win to break into the Playoffs, and this could be just the ticket!

Kyle Larson was our winner of the inaugural race, and like Chastain, he also has a pair of Top 5s here and a 2.5 average finish. He made the final round of Qualifying though, starting 7th tonight.

-In one race here, Austin Cindric finished 7th. That puts him third among active drivers. He’ll have some work to do tonight, however, starting 24th.

Kevin Harvick will be the last guy we highlight here, sporting a pair of Top 10s and a 7.5 average finish. Something about Happy when the lights come on, too…feels like a Harvick kinda night.

No food here today, unless you count what we ate last night…

Wedding cake! Yep! My new wife Lisa and I got married last night in the greatest F’n wedding ever. We threw it back to the 1980’s and had such an awesome time.

Thanks, everyone, for being there, and I hope you all had as much fun as we did. I love you, Leese!

Coverage of the race today starts on NBC at 7:00pm, green flag scheduled for 7:05pm — it has been moved up!
