Press Box Recap – Nov. 24, 2018

Welcome to your weekly recap of the Press Box – airing on weekends on the CW Rochester and on 13 WHAM ABC.

This Week, former New England Patriot Bob Bleier joins host Bill Pucko and regular panelists Mike Catalana (13 WHAM Sports) and Pat Duffy (WCMF Breakroom).  Bob was last with us on our 7th Season Premiere – a memorable appearance, in part due to Bob’s NFL predictions.  Cincinnati in the Super Bowl.  Bills 10 – 6.  Breakout performance for Nate Peterman.

Speaking of things we would change if we could, we begin this week with just that concept.  What would you change about Sports if you could?

Our traditional 2nd segment is Buffalo Bills talk, and this week we wonder what the Bills will look like after the bye week… Josh Allen needs to start, right?  Kelvin Benjamin, he needs to go, right?  Yeah, we got this figured out…

Like it or Not – they’re burning jerseys in Pittsburgh!  Outrageous, or a totally sane response to Le’Veon Bell sitting out the season, rather than accepting a mere pittance of a salary (I think it was just 14.5 million).

Next, a question for Philly fan Mike Catalana… what happened to the defending champs?

It’s Thanksgiving weekend, so Pat is talking great memories of Thanksgivings’ past… and teaching us a little something about ourselves along the way.  Yes Pat, there is a no place we’d rather be, than right here, right now…

Bob has some thoughts about Golden State… all teams have ups and downs, and maybe this team needs a little rough patch to make themselves stronger over the long haul.  Plus, if Bob is predicting them to win it all… oh…

Mike has heard all the talk, especially on social media, of impending doom for the NFL.  “The ratings are down!”

Narrator:  They were not.

Our weekly NFL picks segment was not aired this week, as we taped early for Thanksgiving.  Picks were submitted, and the results will be added to the standings.  Which, by the way, is suddenly a dead heat.
